2010:  The boys are 5 1/2 and looking forward to being 6.  They have had a great year in kindergarten.  They can both read and write better than their parents could at the same age!  They are also looking forward to a new addition to the Miller family.  They are expecting a baby sister at the end of May!  We've made sure to keep them busy this year... we were able to take them to Florida and Disney on their spring break.  The beach is a blast to them no matter what the temperature is.  They've also learned how to ride their bikes without training wheels!!  They are quickly becoming more adventurous on two wheels.

2009 Updates:

Yes, I know if anyone keeps track it has been exactly one year since we've updated... what can I say we've been busy!  The boys are of course 5 years old and in kindergarten.  They are absolutely loving it!  They spend their free time after school drawing pictures, coloring and practicing writing words and numbers.  Of course we've been camping, let see... Disney early in the spring which was just so much fun, Williamsburg and Virginia Beach and a few other local places.  They really love going to the beach and we spent a number of weekends over the summer at Busch Gardens.  They are wonderful, smart, fun little boys who are just growing up way too fast!  If I need a helper while doing household chores I can certainly get one of them to help (they like to mop and help with dishes!).

So much has happened in the last 6 months, which is why we haven't had the chance to provide an update. The boys turned 4 in August.  They got to spend their birthday at Busch Gardens (which was actually our 3rd trip of the year).  They had a great time.  We've also recently been to Hershey Park.  They loved the rides, and rode their first real roller coaster.  Alex's favorite rides are the planes and swings, and being able to drive his own truck.  They are really enjoying and learning so much at pre-K. They love music and love to ask us how to spell... everything!  They've made new friends, and David seems to fancy one particular girl in his class!  They are anxious for snow and of course for Christmas as well.  Hopefully we will update again shortly after the holidays!

As we always say, time really does fly, and we are finally updating the boys' page!  The boys are doing great.  They have learned a lot going to Ms. Richelle's every week.  They can spell and write their name (and mom and dad too).  Of course we've been camping several times which they just love, and we've all been out in our kayaks together.  They are looking forward to the beach and hopefully another trip back to Disney!  Some of their favorite activities include watching the tadpoles in the stream grow, pretending to fish, (including the "pet" tadpoles that we are raising), riding their bikes & atv's, and of course playing with their trains.

So five months have passed and a lot has happened.  One event is that occurred is their THIRD birthday!  They really have become independent little men.  David is pretty much potty trained, and we're still working on Alex.  We spent the day with Thomas the Tank Engine in Cumberland Maryland where they met Sir Topham Hat.  They really love the trains! The most recent adventure we had is a trip to Disney World!  We took our camper and stayed at the Fort Wilderness Campground Resort.   The boys really enjoyed themselves even though they were both not feeling well!  They got to meet Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale as well as Buzz Lightyear!  We can't wait to go back when they  are a little older.

Time is flying by!!!  Summer is here and before we know it, the leaves will be changing color in preparation for winter.  The boys are growing fast.  We can't believe they will be 3 in just over 2 months.  It really is amazing how much they absorb.  Since the last update, we've been camping (of course!), the boys went on their first solo (kiddie) ride at Busch Gardens - and absolutely loved it!  It was a snowy day in April and we just about had the park to ourselves!  We've also been able to enjoy the kayak as a family, they absolutely love the boats on the water.

It's been a long time since the last update, OK about 6 months.  Needless to say a lot has happened in the past 6 months.  David and Alex are just both talking up a storm.  David has really grasped the concept of language and will easily have a conversation with you, even tell you what he did during the day while at Grandma's house.  Alex's favorite things are playing with his trains, airplanes and 'reading' his books.  David loves to talk, and talk, and they both love to ride their ATVs!  Now that Spring has sprung, we are looking forward to many weekends away in our recently renovated Airstream.  the boys just love to go camping with us and seeing different things.
